FAQ – Hunting in Latvia

Planning a hunting trip to Latvia? This FAQ provides essential information on visa requirements, necessary documents for participants and pointing dogs, and accommodation details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

EU Citizens: No visa is required. You can enter Latvia with a valid passport or national ID card.

Non-EU Citizens: You may need a visa depending on your country of residence. Check with the Latvian embassy or consulate in your country for specific requirements.

For Participants:

  • Valid passport or identity card (ID)
  • Valid hunter’s licence/card
  • Valid firearms licence
  • Hunting insurance (optional but recommended)

For Pointing Dogs:

  • European passport with rabies vaccination
  • Tick treatment is highly recommended due to hunting environments

Participants will be accommodated at Viesu nams Chill Inn, a comfortable guesthouse offering:

  • 12 rooms with a total capacity of 40 guests
  • Accommodation for up to 64 people for events
  • Small and large event halls
  • Conference room for seminars
  • Outdoor relaxation areas
